The National Institute of Aging reports that human life expectancy has already increased considerably, and there’s no reason not to believe that it will continue to increase. Did you know that the life expectancy in 1900 was only 49 years? In just one century that number has risen to 76. The institute also reported that the fastest growing segment of the world’s populous are people who are 100 years and older! This is proof that, at least to a degree, longevity is achievable.

The quest for the fountain of youth is an ago-old quest that researchers the world over will continue to embark on. Even the Egyptian pharaohs sought longevity; even in death. As ordinary individuals, we have the power to change our lifestyles and increase our own longevity. As for that fountain, and the key to living forever, well.. for now we’ll have to leave the science in the hands of the researchers and see what they come up with.
